Privacy notice

For guests of events using Magic Booth · Last updated 15 October 2026

In short: we use your photos only for your event, send them to you only if you ask, and delete the online gallery after 30 days.

Who is responsible

  • The data controller is the photobooth operator running the booth at your event. Their name is shown on the booth and given to the event host.
  • For events run by Magic Events the controller is Cornel Caba — Magic Events, contact: contact@cornelcaba.com.

What we collect

  • Photos, GIFs and videos you take at the booth.
  • Your email address or phone number, only if you ask us to send you the photo.
  • Your name and quiz score, only if you take part in the event quiz.
  • The date and time you gave consent.

Why and on what legal basis

  • To print your photos and publish them in the private gallery of the event: performance of the service requested by the event host and your own participation (art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
  • To send photos to your email or WhatsApp: your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • We never use your data for advertising and never sell it.

How long we keep it

  • The online gallery is deleted automatically 30 days after the event.
  • Your email or phone number is deleted once the photo has been delivered, and in any case within 30 days.
  • The operator may keep the original files of the event for the time agreed with the event host.

Who receives it

  • Hosting of the gallery on servers in the European Union (Hetzner, Germany).
  • The email service used to send your photo.
  • WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to receive the photo on WhatsApp; Meta may process data outside the EU under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
  • The event host, who receives the link to the event gallery.

Your rights

  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your data and your photos, limit or object to their use, receive a copy, and withdraw consent at any time, by writing to the controller.
  • You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority — in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

Children

  • Children under 14 may use the booth with a parent, but only a parent can give consent to send photos by email or WhatsApp.
